While the Milpitas Food Pantry typically gets more food donations around holidays, the times in between can lead to emptier shelves. Because of the diversity of their clients, they are in special need of non-traditional items, like soy sauce, spices, rice in 1 or 2 lbs. bags, coconut milk, canned salmon, and rice noodles, for example.
Other more traditional items they always welcome are canned fruit, pasta sauce, pasta noodles, oatmeal, jelly, canned or dry beans, and lentils. Holiday items like stuffing, yams, cranberry sauce, and Gift cards are also always appreciated.
There will be barrels in the lobby on October 8th and October 15th.
